Chris Cole at Woodstock

Jim Laney at Woodstock

Paul Foster at Woodstock

Charlie Luerssen's Into the Light.

The Woodstock Page.

Yep, yep, yep. Kesey didn't make it to Woodstock, but Further did, along with Babbs and assorted others. I'm not sure who these assorted others were -- are you out there? -- because once Kesey got out of Jail and headed back to Oregon with some of the other original Pranksters, the size of the group expanded. Many (some?) of them lived on Kesey's farm just outside of Springfield. Or at least they did until they got back from Woodstock when they found that Kesey had put a sign on his driveway that said simply, "No." There ended Kesey's experiment with communal living.

I don't think I've ever seen a picture of Further at Woodstock, nor any of the footage that Babbs shot of the event and the efforts of the Hog Farm security system. Maybe I should go back and look at the movie to see if I can find Further amongst the crowd. I did find a picture of Paul Foster which you can look at here.

Did anyone out there run into the Pranksters at Woodstock? Did you take a photo? Do you want to share your experience with us? Submit your personal recollection here or click on a link to the left to read what other people have so far had to say.

Gotta really great tale from Jim Laney about his experiences at Woodstock and beyond with the Hog Farmers and assorted Pranksters. Click on the link to the left to go Further up, Further in, and find Fellowship with Jim.

Chris Cole, author of The Closer Song has written a great message telling us of his life changing experiences at Woodstock and beyond.

Woooahhh!! Seem to be getting lots of messages from Woodstock veterans. Charlie Luerssen has been in touch to tell us about his "whathappenedwithmeandJesusatWoodstockbook," Into the Greater Light. Check it out for free by clicking here or on the link to the left.

Hey, you might also want to check out this great Woodstock website. It's all you'll ever need.
